5 Dangers of fashion

Are skinny jeans bad for your health?

IT’S great to be that person who is always on top of the latest fashion trends but when it puts your life at risk, it’s better to be the odd one out.

Skinny Jeans: There is nothing wrong with wearing a pair of tight fitting jeans, it accentuates your curves and looks fabulous. But, extremely tight jeans have been known to restrict circulation and cause extensive swelling.

High heels: Sprained ankles, bunions and hammer toes…. Need I say more?

Ties: Tight ties and small neck collars can restrict blood flow to the brain and cause muscle tension in the back and shoulders

Ugg Boots: They may be comfortable and cosy but wearing them could run the risk of developing flat feet as they have little support.

Wedding rings: ‘Til death do us part’ should not be defined by the continuous presence of your wedding ring. Weight gain could result in bigger fingers which can cause swelling and a loss of blood circulation to the rest of your finger. In extreme cases, you could even lose your finger.

Sometimes choosing to wait for the next fashion trend could prove invaluable in terms of your health.
