NSRI warns of strong rip currents
Bathers are urged to be cautious over the next 6 days.

SPRING Tide will peak on Thursday, 2 July, during the Full Moon phase bringing with it high tides and strong currents.
‘Stronger than normal rip currents are experienced along the coast for a few days leading up to the full or the new moon, peaking on the day of the full or the new moon, and lasting for a few days after the full or the new moon, every month of the year,’ said Craig Lambinon from NSRI
Bathers are warned to be cautious at the beach over the next six to eight days.
