Support the annual Winter Knights project

Empangeni Round Table 61 will be playing their part in the Winter Knights Campaign on Friday, 3 July at Five Ways Mall from 6pm to 8pm.

WHILE cold winter nights conjure thoughts of fluffy blankets and slippers, the greater majority face survival on the cold streets without shelter, warm clothing or even a meal.

The plight of so many destitute people, families and children has not gone unnoticed by Round Table South Africa, who through their Winter Knights of The Round Table campaign has yielded the call to fight the cold battle of winter.

Empangeni Round Table 61 will be playing their part in the Winter Knights Campaign on Friday, 3 July at Five Ways Mall from 6pm to 8pm.

The team will be hosting a ‘cleaning out your closet’ campaign and asks community members to hunt in their closets and donate old clothing.

A food collection for all non-perishable items will also be held on the day.

Currently in its 10th year, the campaign saw more than R1.4 million in goods and funds donated to crèches, old age homes, shelters and other deserving recipients around the country last year.
