Zululand’s largest gas depot is under new ownership.

Wisdom Gas has taken over the Afrox site on 6th Street in Empangeni, and right from the word ‘go’, the team has implemented a number of changes.

Under the competent leadership of Lloyd Walker and Steve Ferreira, commercial, industrial and domestic gas users will, receive top-class service and only the best LPG, industrial gas and welding products.

‘We’re not newcomers to the gas industry,’ said Steve, ‘as Wisdom Gas also runs a big, successful depot in Pinetown and another Afrox site in Pongola, and has extensive experience in the business.

‘We are, therefore, looking forward to serving the entire Zululand area in a completely new way.’

Steve said Wisdom Gas has employed additional staff at the Afrox Empangeni depot to improve service delivery, because they are now also selling directly to the public.

‘With no end in sight to Eskom’s woes, and electricity prices rising sharply, LPG gas is the future.’

‘Buying directly from the supplier will save consumers even more money.

‘We’ve implemented a new delivery system whereby anyone, from big companies to the public, can have their gas products delivered in a safe and convenient way.

‘Everybody is also welcome to pick up their goods at the 6th Street Afrox site.’

‘It’s about being flexible and adapting to modern times, and that is what Wisdom Gas does best.’

Steve added that Wisdom Gas, together with Afrox in Empangeni, is in it ‘for the long run’, and with their many years of experience, they can even help commercial and domestic users set up the necessary infrastructure to get their gas connected.

‘Our technical services’ division can handle even the biggest projects.’

He stressed that Wisdom Gas and Afrox’s aim has always been to employ local people, and that the company is passionate about teaching young people new skills.
