Kwaito queen Shoza dies, aged 37

Kortes hit-maker reportedly passed away in a Johannesburg hospital

KWAITO star Nomasonto ‘Mshoza’ Maswanganyi (37) has died in a Johannesburg hospital this (Thursday) morning.

Details surrounding the death of the Kortes hit-maker are still unknown.

Her thriving career began in the ’90s when she was only 10 years old.

She danced for the kwaito group Chiskop, and soon made guest appearances on the variety show, Jam Alley.

She later became a professional musician at age 15 and dropped the Kortes hit.

Her lyrics ‘Mawgqok’ isiqgoko wen’ uyangihlanyisa‘ soon became a national anthem and made her an even bigger star.
