Seven suspects arrested after vehicle theft tip-off in Zululand

Two vehicles recovered and seven arrested on N2 near Mozambique border

SEVEN suspects are in police custody after an Alpha security team reacted swiftly to a tip-off on Tuesday, which resulted in the recovery of two stolen vehicles.

The security company received information of a stolen Toyota Land Cruiser on the N2 heading towards the Mozambique border.

A tactical team was dispatched, who managed to spot the vehicle with its changed number plates, and arrested the driver.

The suspect then informed the members of the tactical team that he was being escorted by a Toyota Etios.

This vehicle was spotted further north on the N2 and the team pursued it, leading to the arrest of a further six suspects.
