FRIDAY, 14 MAY: Khungane poetry evening in Kwazinja
Poetry duo Inhloko Nesixhanti presents Khungane Celebration at Kwazinja Tavern in Kwesakwamthethwa area on Friday night.
The evening shindig will feature various deejays and local artists.

SUNDAY, 16 MAY: Mtunzini Race in the Shade
The Mtunzini Race in the Shade takes place this Sunday from the Mtunzini Country Club. Distances covered include a 25km and 50km timed race, and a 10km fun ride, run and walk, starting from 7am.
Entry fees for the 25km and 50km rides are R170, and the 10km events cost R50. Lots of prizes and lucky draws are up for grabs. Enter online at www.msem.co.za and for registration queries, contact Casper on 081 7968771.
SATURDAY, 29 MAY: Don’t miss upcoming fundraising musical evening
TAKE the family out for a relaxing and enjoyable musical evening with Pieter Rischmuller, AKA Piet Pompies, from 6pm on 29 May.
The event is being held at The Office Sports Bar at Empangeni’s Addison Park, and is a fundraiser for Kkobus van Wyk who was paralysed in a motorbike accident in 2017.
Tickets are R200 for VIP or R100 for the field, and there will be food stalls available. Tickets are available at The Office Sports Bar, or by contacting Cindy on 082 4556008.
FRIDAY, 4 JUNE: Music evening in aid of eShowe SPCA
Join the eShowe SPCA for an evening of live musical entertainment with Dave Starke, and Nish and Hayden Rattray.
The fundraising event will be held from 4pm on 4 June at Dumakhanda (private pub near Entumeni Nature Reserve).
Bring your own meat and drinks – braais will be going from 4pm.
