Cansa calls on communities to support Tekkie Tax

From as little as R10 you can show your support to helping advance cancer awareness

International Tekkie Tax Day is around the corner and will be celebrated on Friday, 6 August.

The Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) invites the public to work together to advance the fundraiser by encouraging all their contacts to join them in paying their Tekkie Tax, and helping to fund Cansa’s educational programmes around lowering risk for cancer.

One of the easiest ways you can help Cansa to continue to effectively educate about cancer, is to pay your Tekkie Tax, buy stickers, Tekkie Tax tattoos and T-shirts, and brighten up your tekkies with uniquely braided shoelaces this August.
Funds raised go towards health programmes educating communities about the importance of cancer screening and lowering cancer risk.

Education is key to detecting cancer early and improve treatment outcomes.

Participating is easy:
1. Order your ‘Better Together Tekkie Tax’ Sticker (R10)
2. Order your Tekkie Tax Happy Tattoo (R10)
3. Make your Tekkies proud, lacing them up with a set of uniquely branded Tekkie Tax shoelaces (R35)
4. Order your Tekkie Tax T-shirts – adults (R100) and children (R80)
5. Make sure you are ready for national Tekkie Tax kick-off on Friday, 6 August, and join in participating for the month of August to show you care.
To participate, or for more information, contact Richards Bay Cansa Johan Schoonhoven ‘Schoonies’ Care Home representative Sipheleliswe Mabaso 079 6293542 or by email on smabaso@cansa.org.za
