It’s that time of year again when the NG Church in Empangeni has opened entries for its annual DIY Christmas tree competition.

Set up to showcase your tree at the church premises (8 Kerk Street, Empangeni) between 2pm and 6pm on Friday, 4 December.

All entries will be open to the public for viewing from 10am – 1pm on Saturday, 5 December, which is when there will be refreshments, prize-giving for winning trees, lucky draws, entertainment and festive music.

The competition is free to enter, and the winning tree could be in line to win a lucky draw prize of up to R1 000.

For those planning on enjoying the festivities on Saturday, 5 December, tickets cost just R70 – contact Annetjie Stolz to secure yours.

There are three categories for entrants to consider: Table Decor (less than 30cm), Medium Christmas Tree (50 – 95cm) and Large Christmas Tree (100cm +).
