This is what Chery will soon launch in Zululand

Chery cars is set to make its local comeback in December with completely new, modern SUVs at the core of its model range

Here in Zululand, the East Motor Group has been awarded the Chery franchise and will offer these well-priced cars alongside the Suzukis , GWMs and Haval SUVs already available from the group’s dealership complex in Richards Bay.

What’s first?

Chery’s first car to go on sale in December will be the Tiggo 4 Pro. This ford EcoSport-size sub-compact SUV boasts modern design features with a stylish hexagonal diamond cut front grille and imposing haunches at the rear.

It will be available with a choice of two engines: a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol (84kW/138Nm) and 1.5-litre turbo petrol (110kW/210Nm) – coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox or six-speed CVT. Interior materials and trim (with soft-touch surfaces on the front fascia) compare well with the best in the class. The instrument layout is modern, with a large central infotainment control screen.

The Tiggo 4 Pro is well-specced with a host of standard features typically found in bigger vehicles. Chery also promises the Tiggo 4 Pro to be very well priced once launched.

Aftersales?

Chery will be importing directly from China with no agent or middleman involved. The brand is currently in the process of setting up a national dealer network, complete with comprehensive parts availability and aftersales backup. The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro will be sold with a strong mechanical warranty and service plan, and a comprehensive 24-hour roadside assistance service.
