Background
The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ – Special Economic Zone) is a purpose-built and secure industrial estate on the North-Eastern coast of KwaZulu-Natal, linked to the international deep-water port of Richards Bay.
It is a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) tailored for manufacturing of goods and production of services to boost beneficiation, investment, economic growth and the development of skills and employment through domestic and foreign direct investments.
Objectives
The objective of this call for expressions of interest is to assist agriculture small-scale farmers, cooperatives, and NPOs with essential agricultural implements to maximize plant production.
Proposal
The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone calls for expression of interest from agriculture small-scale farmer’s, cooperatives and NPOs who are involved in diverse agricultural plants and produce projects that are aimed at community upliftment as well as creation of sustainable agri-businesses.
The Small-Scale Farmers, Cooperatives, and Non- Profit Organisations must demonstrate capabilities to develop within the agricultural space for the benefit of the communities. They must also have a track record of projects that they have undertaken; as well as demonstrate future sustainability on current and future projects they intend to undertake and execute.
Application Procedure
A standard CSI Application Form must be requested from RBIDZ – Economic Development through email, and completed in full (see contact details below).
Expressions of interest and proposals must be attached to the application form and hand-delivered, or scanned to email at the following address:

Selection Process
The RBIDZ will have a Technical Team who will review each proposal.
Should you not hear from us within four weeks of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful. Correspondence will be made for successful proposals only.
Exclusion Criteria
Applicants will be excluded from participation if their proposals are not attached to the RBIDZ CSI Application Form.
Closing Date of Submissions
Expressions of interest must be received by no later than Thursday; 30 June 2022, at 16:00 pm
