Apply now for the RBIDZ bursary scheme

The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) bursary scheme is offering tertiary bursaries for 2023 to deserving applicants who reside in the King Cetshwayo District.

Undergraduate Degrees:

If you are currently a Grade 12 learner, or if you have already passed Grade 12 and achieved at least Level 5 in English, Mathematics (Core), Physical Science, Accounting and Economics and you would like to study at a recognised university in one of the disciplines listed below, this bursary scheme could be just what you are looking for.

  • Engineering: Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics
  • Surveying and Architecture
  • Marine
  • Environmental and Agriculture
  • Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science
  • Information Technology

Applications will be assessed on both academic merit and financial need.
Depending on your performance, you may be selected for an assessment programme. Acceptance into the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone Bursary Scheme is dependent on a successful interview.

The bursary is renewable on an annual basis dependent on the bursar’s academic performance and conduct.

emailed on request.

Closing Date for applications is 25 January 2023. Late applications will not be considered. Applicants who do not receive communication from RBIDZ by the 28 February 2023 must please accept that their application was unsuccessful.
