Nongoma CIT gang linked to N2 Port Durnford heist

THREE suspects accused of a cash-in-transit (CIT) heist appeared before the Nongoma Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Thabani Mhlongo (37), Vukani Mngomezulu (51) and Londa Mkhwanazi (39), were remanded in police custody, appearing next Monday for a formal bail application.

They stand accused of a CIT robbery in Nkunzana, Nongoma on 6 August, when guards were travelling along the R66 from Pongola to deliver pension payout funds.
