Foreign national gunned down on busy Empangeni road
The murder scene remains active and motorists are urged to use an alternative route
A SOMALIAN national was shot and killed at Empangeni Rail on the R102 this morning (Tuesday).
Information is sketchy at this stage, but witnesses at the murder scene allege that the deceased was hitchhiking when a light motor vehicle stopped alongside him.

It is alleged that one of the occupants opened the door and opened fire on the man. The unidentified deceased was declared dead by paramedics on scene.
Police officials are taking statements and the murder scene remains active.
Motorists are urged to use an alternative route to avoid traffic congestion.
