Biker killed in truck collision

One person was killed in a collision involving two trucks and a motorbike on the N2/M41 interchange in Umhlanga on Tuesday afternoon.

IPSS Medical Rescue, which responded to the crash, said the truck drivers escaped without injuries while the biker was declared dead on scene.

The accident on the Umhlanga interchange follows another multi-vehicle crash on Monday morning on the M41 near the M4 interchange involving a truck and 47 light motor vehicles.

While no fatalities were recorded in Monday’s collision, two people who had sustained critical injuries were transported to a nearby hospital.
