Natal Rich Boyz midfielder Siphamandla Mtolo collapsed and died during a club training session on Tuesday. Mtolo is being laid to rest today (Sunday) in Shakaskraal.

Biker killed in truck collision
One person was killed in a collision involving two trucks and a motorbike on the N2/M41 interchange in Umhlanga on Tuesday.
IPSS Medical Rescue, which responded to the crash, said the truck drivers escaped without injuries while the biker was declared dead on scene.

MEC condemns shooting of employee in Empangeni
KZN Agriculture and Rural Development MEC Super Zuma has condemned the shooting of one of his departmental employees in Empangeni.
The employee was ambushed by suspects as he drove into an eatery establishment on Tuesday afternoon at Empangeni Rail.

City of uMhlathuze warns against intimidation ahead of national shutdown
The City of uMhlathuze says law enforcement will be on high alert to prevent any acts of violence during a national shutdown planned by the EFF.
The shutdown, set for 20 March is to, among others, express frustration with the current electricity crisis, job losses in some critical sectors and a call for President Cyril Ramaphosa to resign.

King Cetshwayo emergency services disrupted by health strike
The KZN Department of Health says it is monitoring ongoing strike action that has disrupted health services in some districts, including King Cetshwayo.
The strike action by health workers affiliated to the National Health and Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU) began on Monday.
