‘No plans’ for fibre in Empangeni CBD

WHILE fibre lines for lightning fast internet speeds have been installed in parts of Empangeni, the CBD lags behind.

Nyala Park, Grantham Park, Fairview and Panorama residents are already enjoying the benefits of fibre, while those living in the CBD are wondering if they ever will.

Livestreaming, online streaming and gaming are just some of the reasons residents prefer fibre now that the option is available, while there are also many who work from home and would benefit.

Despite calls for fibre by residents, Openserve says it has no plans to equip the Empangeni CBD with this service.
