Brrrace for continued severe weather

Some areas around uMkhanyakude and King Cetshwayo districts are expected to receive significant rainfall

The SA Weather Service (SAWS) has warned that disruptive rains and extremely cold temperatures in parts of KZN will persist until this (Monday) evening.

Some areas around uMkhanyakude and King Cetshwayo districts are expected to receive significant rainfall, which may lead to localised flooding.

Areas that are affected include uMhlathuze, Hluhluwe, Mtubatuba, uMlalazi, uMhlabuyalingana and Big Five Hlabisa.

The SAWS has further warned of rough seas owing to the bad weather conditions.

“This may lead to small vessels capsizing, difficulty in navigation of small vessels and localised disruption of small harbours/ports for a short period along the KZN and Eastern Cape, coasts,” said the weather service.
