Don’t worry that you’ve missed Cyber Monday, there is still time for you to buy your Christmas gifts online.

There are many benefits to online shopping, top of which is convenience, but you do need to make sure you’re shopping on legitimate sites and that they can deliver the goods in time.

1. Takealot (www.takealot.co.za)
This is probably the most prevalent online shopping site in South Africa today, with some great reviews.

They have a number of warehouses, so they’re likely to have stock of what you’re looking for.

You could check out the Daily Deals which start at 7am on weekdays, and 9am on weekends, with great sales on selected items.

South Africa’s version of eBay is more flexibly priced with customers bidding on items they like rather than paying a set price.

There are also lots of leading retailers now selling directly online, such as Woolworths or Makro.

Just remember to check the site is authentic, find out the delivery fees, and check the returns policy.
