Arrest made in Sodwana Bay missing skipper case

The arrest comes after the police had circulated Visser's photograph and name on Wednesday, alerting the public to be on the lookout

THE latest development in the case of missing Sodwana Bay skipper John Matambu is that the original person of interest, Ferdie Visser, has been located.

According to Matambu’s nephew Mike Eilertsen, who is working closely with police, Interpol, local security companies and investigators, he was apprehended in Maputo this evening (Friday) and is in police custody.

The arrest comes after the police had circulated Visser’s photograph and name on Wednesday, alerting the public to be on the lookout.

As yet, no word has been received on the whereabouts of Matambu.
