Multiple casualties in N2 taxi roll-over

Three passengers seriously injured when the taxi in which they were travelling rolled on the N2 near Mtunzini

THE N2 northbound near Mtunzini Toll Plaza came to a standstill earlier today (Friday) after a taxi towing a trailer rolled, leading to multiple casualties.

Mounties EMS attended the scene and said the taxi was travelling to Mozambique after attending a function in Durban, and appeared as if the driver of the vehicle lost control.

“One critically injured female and two seriously injured passengers were stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital. [A further] ten passengers did not sustain serious injuries, and no fatalities were reported on scene,” said Mounties EMS.
Traffic was affected as both lanes were blocked on the northbound carriageway.
