WATCH: New mayor elected for King Cetshwayo District

King Cetshwayo District mayor appointed in uncontested election

IN a unanimous vote, King Cetshwayo District Municipality on Tuesday morning ushered in Cllr Sikhumbuzo Dlamini in as the new mayor of the district.

This follows former mayor Thami Ntuli taking up the position of KZN Premier in the government of provincial unity after the general elections in May.

The appointment of the new King Cetshwayo District mayor was uncontested, with no other nominees.

Dlamini brings a wealth of knowledge to local government, having previously chaired the KCDM technical committee and holding the deputy mayor position for several months.
