At the official house handover, uMhlathuze Mayor Xolani Ngwezi congratulated the beneficiaries and commended the selfless gesture of the business owners.
Ngwezi additionally committed to erect a fence as part of collaborations with the business owners, to complete and secure the Nxumalo family’s home.
“We are here to officially hand over the house after these companies saw the situation of this women-headed home and opted to build them a house. We are incredibly grateful for their work, may God bless them.
“The municipality will assist with fencing to ensure safety and security as the mother of this family is living with disability and surviving on a grant,” said Ngwezi.
