Ulundi government complex temporarily closed

Public Works and Infrastructure MEC takes swift decision to temporarily close government offices in Ulundi

THE MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure has ordered the temporary closure of the Ulundi government complex due to non-compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.

MEC Martin Meyer took this swift and decisive action following severe concerns regarding hazardous working conditions faced by public servants at the complex.

Department spokesperson Steve Bhengu said employees will rotate between working from home and from the Ulundi facility in sections that are deemed structurally sound.
