Zululand philanthropist gives back to community

The Ntenga Foundation also pledged to return later in the year

CHILDREN from five schools in eSikhaleni welcomed donations of uniforms and electrical equipment last week.

The donations were made by local philanthropist and founder of the Ntenga Foundation, Siyanda Ntenga, in partnership with the Hollywood Foundation.

Having grown up in underprivileged circumstances, attending school barefoot, the eSikhaleni-born entrepreneur took it upon himself to give back to the community and make a difference in education and social well-being.

Ntenga Foundation visited eSikhaleni schools to donate uniforms

Over 120 pupils from Mzingwenya, Ilembe, Musi and Gobandlovu primary schools, plus Tisand Technical High School pupils benefitted from the initiative.

The Ntenga Foundation also pledged to return later in the year to host a sports event to encourage healthy living.

 

Pupils were entertained by local actor Mthandeni Mbambo and the Spur mascot
