Pupils stage silent march against child abuse

Ntambanana pupils march to raise awareness of child abuse during Child Protection Week

Actions speak louder than words.

This saying rang true for Mgezeni Technical High School pupils in Ntambanana who staged a silent march last week against the abuse of children.

The demonstration, led by the school’s library team, was to educate and raise awareness about Child Protection Week.

This year, the Child Protection Week campaign is themed Working together in ending violence against children.

The Department of Social Development said the theme is part of a five-year global commitment to end violence against children by the year 2030.
