4 perish in Ulundi car, truck accident

Four people tragically lost their lives when the vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a truck on Sunday afternoon.

The head-on collision occurred at about 4pm on the R34 near Ulundi.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance paramedics responded to the call-out, but the deceased had already succumbed to their injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage but will be investigated by police.

Sunday’s collision follows another fatal accident on the R34 between Ulundi and Vryheid in which 10 people lost their lives over the Youth Day weekend.
