Pick n Pay announces permanent store closure in Arboretum

Essenwood Pick n Pay today (Tuesday) informed its customers ‘with a heavy heart’ of the store’s permanent closure.

Management said the decision was not made lightly, and was due to circumstances beyond their control.

Indications are that an alternate franchise will be sought at the same premises.

Management at the store were caught unaware as the closure came without prior warning. They remain in consultation with their legal advisers.

Equally caught off guard were the thousands of customers in Arboretum, Birdswood, Veldenvlei and Mandlazini, who find this the most convenient place to do bulk and day-to-day shopping.
