Uys, who was reported missing early last week, was found dead in her bathroom last Thursday morning.

The circumstances surrounding her death are under police investigation. Her vehicle and belongings were taken from her property.

Described by friends and members of her social circle as bubbly, loud and full of life, Uys’ death has left the Richards Bay community in shock.

On Sunday, those closest to her gathered to celebrate her life during a memorial bike run, followed by a tribute at the Richards Bay Rugby Club.

Police have confirmed that cases of murder, theft of motor vehicle and theft are being investigated.
