Ulundi Mayor Wilson Ntshangase said Africa Day is a reminder of the unity

ULUNDI Municipality joined the continent in celebrating Africa Day 2026 on Monday under the theme Building a Better Africa Through Solidarity, Progress and Shared Purpose.


Ulundi Mayor Wilson Ntshangase said Africa Day is a reminder of the unity, resilience, cultural richness, and collective aspirations of African nations and their people.

“It’s a day that encourages all Africans to work together towards sustainable development, peace, economic growth, and social cohesion across the continent,” he said, calling on residents to embrace the spirit of African unity.


“As Africans, we share a common history, heritage, and future. Africa Day reminds us of the importance of unity and collaboration in building stronger communities and a prosperous continent for future generations.

“We encourage communities, businesses, youth, and all stakeholders to use this day to reflect on the progress made by the continent, while working together to address challenges facing African communities.”
