Dramatic Friday afternoon crash brings Empangeni CBD to a standstill

Three people suffered minor injuries when a taxi and car collided in Empangeni CBD, with the car coming to a halt on its roof

TWO drivers and a passenger were lucky to escape with minor injuries when their vehicles collided in Empangeni this (Friday) afternoon. 

The accident, involving a taxi and a car, took place at the Turnbull and Main roads intersection at about 2.30pm.

The impact of the collision caused the car to overturn in the middle of the road, obstructing rush-hour traffic.

Paramedics and various law enforcement agencies responded to treat the injured and clear the debris.

Mounties EMS were on scene and reported that three people had sustained minor injuries.
