RBM workers to march to the employer

RBM workers set to hand over a memorandum outlining various internal issues

Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) National Union of Mineworkers (NUM)-affiliated workers will hand over a memorandum of demands to their employer this Wednesday, 7 October.

NUM RBM branch secretary Khulekani Mkhwanazi confirmed to the ZO today (Monday) that the planned picket will go ahead, with workers set to hand over a memorandum outlining various internal issues.

Mkhwanazi said the issues include demands for decent work, claiming the employer unfairly implemented changes to normal policies.

“We have met, and the employer is expecting us, and the acting DM will be receiving our memorandum,” said Mkhwanazi.
