MANY years ago I was the founding chairman of the Zululand History Society and professor of history at the University of Zululand.
During this time I published two books – ‘Empangeni: a special centenary commemorative issue; Aspects of the 19th Century 1894-1994’ and ‘A History of Richards Bay 1497-1970’.
I also have a good material available based on the writings of Dr A de V Minnaar, ‘Empangeni: A historical review to 1989’.
