Learning soccer skills through fun games

Amazulu chief scout Joel Faya taught young soccer players new tricks

Amazulu Football club chief scout Joel Faya assisted young inspiring soccer players to become more confident in a team environment at the Richardia Primary sports ground on Friday.

The ‘Build It’ initiative was aimed to teach and develop basic soccer skills such as maintaining a good coordination and balance while handling the ball. The initiative also benefited children who have a zeal for soccer.

‘A player who has not mastered the required technical skills will have trouble progressing to more advanced levels of play. Clinics will focus on building the technical skills required for a player to perform consistently through proper repetition and detailed instructions while implementing those skills in game situations with speed and pressure,’ said Faya.

Primary school football couches learned skills from the soccer legend on how to develop their teams and assist pupils to learn discipline and motivate them to conduct a great game of soccer.
