New format for endurance swim

For the first time in the event's history, there will be half (500m) and quarter (250m) races for participants to compete in

THE popular annual Leomat 1 000m swim hosted by uShaka Swimming Club and Magic Moments, will take place on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 March at the Empangeni Municipal swimming pool.

For the first time in the event’s history, there will be half (500m) and quarter (250m) races for participants to compete in.

Cash prizes are up for grabs for all winners this year.

Friday’s action is scheduled to get under way from 11am and end at 6pm and will see the relay teams, learn to swim and 250m swimmers competing.

Saturday’s action will start at 8am and end at 3pm and will see the 500m and 1 000m swimmers in action.

Cost of entries are R125 for the 1 000m race, R80 for the 500m race, R60 for the 250m race and R60 for learn to swim races.
