KwaThema – A 22-year-old man was shot and killed during a shoot-out in Extension Three on Friday evening.
It is alleged the deceased was gambling inside a shack along Nhlabathi Street with a group of friends
KwaThema police spokesperson, Capt Thabo Sibuyi, says it is alleged the suspect forced entry to the shack and started shooting.
“One of the victims sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, another was injured on the leg and a third was shot in the knee.
“The one injured male was taken by paramedics, while the other two were taken to hospital by a private car for medical treatment.
“Police were later informed that one of the victims had passed away.
“A case of murder and attempted murder is being investigated by the police and no one has been arrested.
“We are calling on anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward to help the police make an arrest,” he says.
