The Duduza police arrested a 40-year-old man for kidnapping, rape and possession of an unlicensed firearm in the early hours of Monday morning.
According to Sgt Harry Manaka, spokesperson for Duduza SAPS, the female victim, who lives in Duduza, had an argument with her boyfriend on Sunday night.
She then decided to walk to the police station.

While walking, a VW Jetta stopped next to her, pretending to be a taxi, so she got in.
The driver took her to a house in Tsakani where he raped her.
The driver then took the victim to an open veld next to the cemetery in Duduza.
He was now in the company of another man.
The two men were then seen drinking alcohol and smoking dagga.

That was when the victim managed to escape.
The men chased after her while firing gunshots, but didn’t find her.
She hid in the thick bush next to the cemetery and was assisted by a police vehicle patrolling the area who reacted swiftly and managed to arrest the suspect.
He is expected to appear in court during the course of the week.
