New members wanted for sport committee

The meeting will take place at 8am on Saturday at the Sanco office in Extension Eight, Langaville.

Langaville – Ward 79 sports coordinator Saki Kgaphola is inviting the sporting community of Langaville to attend a sub-committee election meeting.

The meeting will take place at 8am on Saturday at the Sanco office in Extension Eight, Langaville.

“There has been a great response from the community towards our work, which is a good sign.

“However, the work has become too much and I could use extra help, which is why I am looking for people who are already involved in sport, have the passion and who are willing to work hard,” said Kgaphola.

The newly elected sub-committee will provide assistance and guidance in different sporting codes.

“We have a vast number of sporting codes in the ward to develop children within the community.

“We have soccer, rugby, aerobics, athletics, netball and bodybuilding.

“I would like to encourage young people to grab this opportunity as it is an opportunity to learn, become active and empower their communities,” he said.

Also, he is urging the community to make use of the aerobics classes taking place in Ext Seven and Eight.

“These classes are fun, educational and a good way for people to stay in shape.

“They take place at the Sanco offices from Monday to Sunday.”
