Pads drive aims to empower young girls

She has started a sanitary towel drive to empower young girls and women within her community.

Kwa-Thema – Meet 28-year-old Mpho Hlophe, the founder of Dramaqueen apparel, who wants to help young girls in her community.
She has started a sanitary towel drive to empower young girls and women within her community.
“As a brand, we strongly believe in giving. We believe that give and it shall be given unto you.
“The movement began on March 1, and I am looking forward to making a positive contribution and meeting these wonderful and talented young people.
“Our goal is to assist unfortunate young girls from various schools within the community by donating packs of pads,” she explained.

She added that women face a lot of challenges.
“As females, we are faced with adversities from different walks of life, especially in this modern day.
“As a clothing brand that specialises in women’s wear, it is important to engage with young girls in our community.
“I am obsessed with women and success, and having a lot of young girls who look up to me is a motivation on its own.
“I want to see them grow and have more opportunities, unlike me.”
She is encouraging other people to get involved.

“I would like to extend words of gratitude to every person who has contributed thus far.
“We want to reach as many people as possible, and we can only achieve that if more people come on board.
“Together we can change lives,” she added.
