Local liquor traders attend annual indaba

“During this year's indaba, we focused on four issues.”

Duduza – Business owners in the liquor industry participated in the Liquor Traders Indaba on Tuesday.
This is an annual engagement between police and the liqour traders in the area.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said the primary objective of the indaba is to provide amicable solutions to challenges identified as crime generators at liquor outlets.

“During this year’s indaba, we focused on four issues, which included adherence to Covid-19 regulations, general compliance on trading, impact of liquor trading on crime and update on licences and permits.
“We declared a no fear or favour approach in dealing with lawlessness related to liquor and also encourage sustainable local economy through good partnership with all business,” added Manaka.
