Help local model clinch the crown
“It felt like a dream when I received an email from the United Nations Pageant SA on April 12, saying I was part of the top 100 finalists.”
Tsakani – Model Karabo Tsokodibane has been nominated as a finalist in the Miss and Mr United Nations SA 2021 pageant.
The pageant will take place on June 26 in Johannesburg.
“It felt like a dream when I received an email from the United Nations Pageant SA on April 12, saying I was part of the top 100 finalists.
“It felt real when I went for my first official finalist announcement on April 17,” said Tsokodibane.
Tsokodibane is not only a beauty queen, but she is also an academic.

She recently obtained a diploma in human resource management from the Tshwane University of Technology.
“Although there are other avenues one can go through to be successful, I believe the best recipe is education.
“We are then able to come up with different ways in fighting the challenges we are facing today and come up with solid solutions.
“Education builds us as individuals, making it easy to empower and build our societies,” she said.
The beauty queen stated she’s planning to study labour law.
The 22-year-old told African Reporter her grandmother motivated her to start modelling.
“When I was growing up, my grandmother loved beauty shows on TV. She planted the idea of modelling in my mind by frequently complimenting me about my petite frame.
“I took the idea and put it into action in 2018,” she said.
Tsokodibane said when Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss SA 2019, her love for modelling grew.
“She inspired me on a personal level. Her personality, attitude, intelligence and free spirit caught my attention.
“I plan to enter Miss SA and branch into runway, retail and cosmetic modelling.
“I want to have my own modelling academy or pageant where I can teach and share my knowledge with young girls who want a breakthrough in the modelling industry and be the voice of change,” she said.
Tsokodibane won Miss Khayalethu in 2019 and was a second runner-up in the Face of Emalahleni in 2020.

“I see pageants as platforms where models not only showcase their looks, personalities and potential but also their intelligence and philanthropies on a local, national and international level.
“Winning Miss United Nations SA will mean a lot; it will open many doors for my career in modelling.
“It would mean I get to be a role model to young girls and that I have to take responsibility and represent every girl whose voices can’t be heard,” concluded Tsokodibane.
