Another taxi driver shot and killed outside his home
The motive for the shooting is unknown and no arrests have yet been made.
Kwa-Thema – Taxi driver Jabu Msiza (37) was shot and killed at his home along Didishe Street on Friday morning.
Msiza sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was certified dead on scene.
His mother, Sarah, said moments after her son left the house she heard gunshots.
She rushed to the door to investigate and heard her son screaming for help, which was followed by more gunshots.
“It was as if I was watching a horror movie which would soon end,” she said.
Sarah explained that even though Jabu didn’t have enemies, he had an altercation which was followed by threats from a former colleague who was dismissed two weeks ago.

This resulted in Jabu applying for a protection order against him.
In 2012 he was kidnapped in Alberton. He was found after five days, disorientated and drugged in Durban by an old homeless man.
“We don’t know if these incidents are linked to his death.
“They killed him like they were killing an animal. They can’t get away with it,” she added.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu confirmed they are investigating a case of murder.
“No one has been arrested and police investigations are still underway.
“Police are urging anyone with information about the identity of the killer/s to inform the Tsakani police or submit an anonymous tip-off to 10111,” she added.
