Pirates crash out of Confed

Local supporter Rangwane Makgabutlane, of Kwa-Thema Orlando Pirates supporters’ branch, still believes in the Soweto giant.
Orlando Pirates CAF Confederation Cup campaign came to an end on Sunday, after they were thrashed by Raja Casablanca.
The Glamour Boys lost 4-0 on the day with a 5-1 aggregate.

“I don’t think we should blame the coach for the loss. He can only give instruction.
“The 11 men on the ground must do the work,” he said.
Makgabutlane hopes the club’s chairperson, Irvin Khoza, will not buckle under the pressure and fire the coach.
“The whole team just needs to go back to the drawing board.

“When they train, they need to identify their weaknesses.
“They also need to have a plan B, so that when they get on the pitch and plan A does not work, they try something different.”
He believes the coach deserves a chance to build a winning team.
