Organisations come together to make a difference
Residents were presented with winter clothes.
Tsakani – Kasie Outreach continues to fight poverty within the community.
The faith-based organisation partnered with Empilweni Christian Church on Saturday to give back to the community of Extension Six in Langaville.
Residents were presented with winter clothes, which were donated to the organisations by various donors.
The founder of the Kasie Outreach programme, Simphiwe Malunga, expressed his gratitude for the support.
“This collaboration proved to be a major success. We are truly thankful to each and every individual who came to share the word of God with us and also lending a helping hand in the process. Change starts at home, one step at a time,” he said.
The organisation arranges outreach programmes in informal settlements monthly.
“We continue to urge people who would like to make donations to contact us. We accept clothes that are still in a good condition, toys for children, study materials including reading books, as well as shoes.
“This winter promises to be very cold, therefore we are pleading with the community to continue to work with us in ensuring we are all warm this winter,” said Malunga.
