NPO FundaZiphuthe Children Care Centre has suspended their computer classes until further notice in compliance with lockdown restrictions.

The NPO has collaborated with Ikwezi Youth Computer Centre and Paris Shaker Foundation to provide computer skills to learners in Grade Five to Nine within Kwatsaduza.
“Parents who would like their child to be part of our programme can submit certified copies of their ID, the child’s birth certificate, latest school report and proof of residence.
“At the back of the proof of residence copy, they must write their names and contact details.
“There’s a box for submissions next to the security guard’s office at the Faranani Multipurpose Centre,” she explained.
The programme is facilitated at Faranani Multipurpose Centre weekly from 14:00 until 16:30.
Beneficiaries are taught basic computer skills. Upon completion, they receive an attendance certificate.

Magagula encouraged learners to continue to learn while at home.
“A partnership between parents and learners with regards to their education is needed now more than ever.
“Parents should encourage their children to use this time for learning or revision.
“Read books, play educational games, those who have access to the internet can join online learning platforms or learn new words,” she said.
