Tsakani – Ingqayizele Masters League has now changed its league name to the Tsakane Build-It League after the founders gave the naming rights to the new sponsors.
The unveiling of the new name and league was held at Build-It in Tsakane Square on Thursday.
The new league sponsors gave the participating teams new kits, soccer balls and vuvuzelas. The teams will play all league games with the kits they received.
Tsakane Build-It owner WC du Plessis said, “This is part of giving back to the community.
“We will be with the teams until the last day of the league. How the league progresses will determine whether we continue sponsoring in the coming seasons, or not.”
Du Plessis said a business they are working with will provide a man-of-the-match voucher during the season.
Bazingeli Masters coach Vusi ‘Yaya’ Khumalo said, “This is a pleasant surprise. We were not expecting such a great gesture.
“As a team which won the top eight tournaments, our current goal is to win the league. We are on an ‘operation-take-all’. Should other teams slip up during the league, we will capitalise on that.
“We are taking the league.”
Brothers Masters Captain Kwanele ‘Gazi’ Cele said they are grateful to Build-It and will return their gratitude by winning the league.
Zethembe FC captain Sipho Maisa said, “We are happy to be part of the league. Yes, we lost the tournament final, but we promise our fans and everyone that we are taking the league.
The Zethembe FC coach Zweli Nkabinde said they are thankful to Build-It.
“May they keep up the good work and keep on doing great. We will bring them customers,” Nkabinde said.
Ingqayizele founder Votile Jack said, “Ingqayizele is not just about soccer but about uplifting each other as masters.

“We are grateful to Build-It for assisting us with kits because some teams cannot afford them.”
Jack said some players are unemployed and have problems at home.
The league is to help them to be able to socialize and speak up about their problems when we are meeting.
He said he would like to see players getting equipped with skills and hopes their relationship with Build-It can assist in more issues than one while opening more doors.
