Five arrested for Mpendulo’s murder
Mpendulo Mthombeni was found lying in a pool of blood with the skin on his legs cut open by a sharp object.
Kwa-Thema – The matter against the five men who allegedly killed Mpendulo Mthombeni in November has been postponed for May 10 for further investigation by the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
The 16-year-old was attacked and killed while walking to his friend’s birthday celebration.
He was found lying in a pool of blood with the skin on his legs cut open by a sharp object.
Mpendulo’s father, Sipho Radebe, said he will only find closure as soon as the trial begins and the suspects disclose to the court why they killed his son like an animal.
“He didn’t have a cellphone or money that we would believe it was a robbery gone wrong. My son didn’t deserve to die in that way. I am still traumatised by the state we found him,” he added.
