Bad start didn’t determine a bad finish for a Langaville artist
22-year-old has released his first single
Langaville – Sibusiso Melokuhle Talakgale (22) from Langaville Ext One calls himself a versatile and passionate artist who can be given any genre of song and will run with it.
Sibusiso recently released a soulful trap song, Kancane Kancane, which he describes as an inspirational number.
“I wrote the song back in 2014 when I was in Grade Eight. Back then I didn’t have the confidence to release it as I thought it was terrible,” he said.
After losing his mother in 2017, Sibusiso said the song came back to him that everything has its own time and he recorded it last year.

“My mother didn’t raise me; she was not present in my life. I was raised by my father and his wife whom I couldn’t call ‘mama’ for the longest time until after my mother’s death.
“The song is also dedicated to them. I would like them to know that everything we’ve been through in life had its own time,” Sibusiso said.
“With my mom not raising me, I had a rough upbringing that led me to have suicidal thoughts at some point. Though my father did his best, I felt I needed my mother. I felt I needed to get her love which I didn’t get,” he continued.

Sibusiso started singing in 2013 for Ukukhanya kwe Nkosi Gospel Choir and has sung for different choirs ever since.
He was also inspired by rap artist Lindokuhle Vilakazi, which led him to start rapping as well.
“I would like to tell the youth that everything has time and when the time is right, God will make it happen. I am also grateful to Lerato Techto for encouraging me to record the song.”
