In loving memory of Babyrose Jiyane-Makgata.

Deceased: Babyrose Jiyane-Makgata born on August 14, 1944, in Ogies, Mpumalanga, died on May 13 after a long illness.

Education: She attended primary schools in Hlangaphala in Ogies and matriculated from Tlakula High School in Kwa-Thema.

She then obtained a primary teachers diploma at the Kathorus College of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in education at Unisa.

Career: Jiyane-Makgata worked for 35 years as a teacher. Her career started in 1970 at Entokozweni Primary School in Kwa-Thema. In 1975, she went to Mangosuthu Primary School in Tsakani, where she worked until she retired in 2004.

Family: She is survived by her husband, Ernest Makgata, children, grandchildren and siblings.

Funeral: The service will be held on Saturday at the Tsakane Community Hall, and the cortège will proceed to the Vlakfontein Cemetery at 11:30.
