Isibani to present their theatre show
The struggle continues but there will soon be light.
Tsakani – Tsakani Hall will be the place for the youth on June 16, when Isibani Youth in Arts will have a talent showcase day for different arts groups.
The organisation’s co-founder, Bhekizenzo Myeni, said Isibani was an NPO formed by community members to provide arts and cultural skills and use them to tackle social issues.
“We saw how the social ills affected our brothers and sisters and came with the group to keep them active, off the streets and away from drugs,” he said.
On Youth Day, the group will celebrate by presenting their theatre production, The Struggle Continues, which focuses on the ills the youth face.
The group will share the stage with these groups and artists:
• Ikusasa Arts Production from Kwa-Thema;
• Olwethu Youth Club from Duduza;
• Voices Of Faith from Tsakani;
• Via Dipadiseng In theatre from Balfour;
• Sunnyboy Imbongi Ejulile;
• Zwane Mxolisi;
• Amakhoisan;
• Sozimali RSA;
• Soka lezwe;
• Umfaz Onenkani and many more.
The event will start at 09:00. Buy your ticket at the venue. For more info, call Myeni on 066 584 0039.
